Could it be because V is mostly green screen with a smaller core cast, making it cheaper to produce? Not to mention so simple in storyline, that viewers passed out in front of their TVs from too many six-packs can follow the plot developments osmotically? (Yes, I watched both shows. But FF was far more intellectually interesting.) I believe the ratings are low for both shows because of that three month hiatus ABC put them on last fall. After the Olympics, neither show came back to pre-hiatus ratings levels, what a surprise. Why ABC execs thought they could pull that stunt and their viewership would return in force is simply beyond stupid. And FWIW, both Better Off Ted and Scrubs have also been cancelled. Disney manages to stick it to Ellen (via Portia) once again.
