This is probably the only time we'll ever get to go to the Club, so bear with me. Does anyone know the current selections? Or, to make it easier, if they carry both Fisher and Pilsner Urquell? I know that they have a reputation for going out of their way to provide excellent service, do you think that having these two beers available for a day (even if it just means sticking a six pack of each in the refrigerator) would be out of the question? I know this is strange, but thanks.

Funny thing is that Bonita Granville-Wrather, and her husband Jack Wrather, were good friends of President and Mrs. Reagan! I just finished reading The Reagan Diaries, and President Reagan mentions repeatedly that the Wrathers were often guests of theirs at the White House, the Santa Barbara Ranch, etc. The Reagans and the Wrathers socialized together, were at each others homes for Christmas and New Years, and President Reagan refers to them as "old friends" continually from 1981 to 1989 in his diaries. The Wrathers helped the Reagans a great deal raising money in SoCal for his inital campaign in 1980, and his re-election campaign in '84. I kept chuckling as I was reading the book over the last month and Jack and Bonita Wrather's names kept popping up every so often when President Reagan describes dinner parties and their close friends they socialized with. I suppose it's entirely possible that Nancy and Bonita, being close friends, did share a common style when it came to fashion and interior design, and so the original Top Brass Bar outside Granville's Steakhouse would have been done in decor that Nancy approved of.

I guess the name change is recent (along with Granville's) but odd that it's still listed on the AP discount page...
