I'd been a fan of hers since just before "Clueless." I think my favorite role would be Daisy in "Girl, Interrupted." It breaks my heart every time I see what Angelina Jolie's Lisa does to her in the movie.

And now comes word of a huge amount of prescription drugs found in her home. When are we going to learn? She could have been taking all of these just as the doctor prescribed and it could still kill her.

If I were to die suddenly today, you would find a dozen different bottles of prescription medications in my dresser drawer. I take ten different medications a day, plus iron supplements. Out of those, there are at least three that could kill or do serious damage to me in an overdose.

I'm in the same category... It depends what and for what and how long ago they were prescribed. It's not unusual for people who are in any way "medically dependent" to have what others state as "huge amount". I change drugs a lot so if you dug (since I haven't lately which I know I should..) you could find anywhere from 30-40 different meds in various quantities throughout my house all legally prescribed. Just because you have them doesn't mean you use them..

My guess is that in journalism, 'natural' means -- not from a gun shot, or car accident or fall or some such thing.

But I agree -- 'natural causes' and 'age 32' just don't go together.

And looking at the liquor cabinet they might also think I'm a lush (until they noticed all the dust on the bottles, lol). OMG she's mixing Tylenol, Excederine, Digoxin and RUM!

I'll have my last word on this; I really don't want to turn this into a WE's post.

A guy I work with died a few days ago. Cause? Accidental overdose of prescription pain medication. All I'm saying is that having 20 prescriptions isn't "natural." Big pharmaceutical is a multi-billion dollar industry. They have no motivation to cure or heal, and every motivation to keep you using their product.

I'm not an alternative medicine proponent or anti-science freak. Pills have their place. Prescriptions have their place. And I don't blame anyone for taking them when prescribed by a doctor. But I do think it's a real problem in this country that will have to be addressed at some point.

I sincerely feel so badly for Brittany's family, losing her so suddenly and then having to deal with the press. So heartbreaking.

But, I also think that when it comes to releasing inside info, they need to reign it in a bit. The coroner's office is one place (as well as hospitals) that needs a bit more protection from TMZ.

I'll take it! I've actually used it when I had a lengthy tattoo session.
