Aside from being a great talent, Larry Gelbart was a great guy. He actually participated from time to time on the M*A*S*H newsgroup when I was there a few years ago. He was very kind to everyone and was fun to converse with. He was even kind enough to send me a few private notes after I expressed some things.

In addition to M*A*S*H, he also had the great Tootsie to his credit, in addition to many others, including recent award winners. He'll be missed.

I thought "Oh, God!" was a terrific movie. I didn't realize Larry Gelbart wrote the screenplay.

You will be greatly missed, Larry. (And oooh ecdc I am green with envy!) Comedy won't be the same without you.
