Even Secretary of State, Condoleeze Rice, got into the act stating, "it doesn't seem to be the kind of thing that you would want to see the dismissal of a World Bank president over." Yeah, right. We don't consider ethical lapses to be important for the leader of a global economic organization. If I did a similar act in my role working for the government, I'd be fired in a heartbeat, but that standard isn't the same if you are a crony in the administration. And for what it's worth, what exactly was the nature of the salary negotiation in question? Well, Wolfowitz's girlfriend was on the payroll for $133,000 a year before he renegotiated her salary to $193,000 a year. That's a heck of a raise! She must be one heck of a girlfriend! Where do we find these people to be leaders in our government organizsations? It's bad enough that this guy already caused the damage by being the "architect" of the Iraq War when he was assistant Secretary of Defense. Now, he gets to shame the United States by acting like a total clown.

That wouldn't be the kind of thing to do either. Raging hypocrites.
