On a semi-related note, I recently discovered that when you zoom in close to the parks in Google Maps, so that it switches to oblique/birds eye view, the photos were taken during the WDW Marathon. Since the Christmas trees are still up in the parks, I believe it was the 2012 race (which was earlier than usual due to January having 5 weekends). Since it's a composite of many pictures, the marathon runners appear and disappear, but can be found roughly from DAK along Osceola Pkwy, up World Dr, through the Studios, around Crescent Lake, and in Epcot. Keep an eye out for the tell-tale yellow traffic cones that delineate the course:

Then it's up the second indoor lift hill and past the second indoor show scene, as hinted at by WDI artwork at D23. And then your out of the mountain down a drop and into another figure 8 outdoor track section. And you end by sliding into a brake zone before heading back inside to the load/unload area.

It's not on the epic scale of Big Thunder, and it will not be a long ride. But it will be longer than Goofy's Barnstormer, and the two brief indoor show scenes will hopefully be nicely done.

An E Ticket, this is not.

Well those little buildings along the top edge with the terra cotta roofs are a fruit stand. But everything else will be related to the coaster

Doing some quick Google Earth measurements, it's roughly 250'x350'. TO translate that into a DL-sized environment, it's about the same size as all of Toontown to the left of the entrance path (Goofy's house, Donald's boat, Go-Coaster, Mickey's house, Minnie's house, gas station, food stands and seating), or 50' larger in both directions than the space between Splash Mountain and the French Market building, between the railroad and the river. In terms of WDW's locations, it's roughly the same size as the central corridor of Main Street (not Town Square or Hub) including the buildings on both sides, Chester & Hester's Dinorama (not all of Dinoland), the Echo Lake area, or slightly smaller than an average World Showcase pavilion. It's a big chunk of land, with a lot of intricate work going on, but because of WDW's large scale (and tendency to have less intricate designs) it seems like a lot of fuss over nothing

Looking at the photo, I'm a little confused how the station fits in the structure. I see where the track enters/exits the building for a total of 4 times (2 in, 2 out), but given the location of the lift hills (one indoor, one outdoor), I just can't figure out much of anything about the ride's interior layout

Which basically means it'll never be built at DL.

According to some online sources, DL is 85 acres and MK is 107 acres. I'm not sure I believe those numbers (MK seems like it should be 1.5-2 times the size of DL to me), so take it for what you will. It's especially interesting to consider the size difference when you think about how many more attractions DL has that aren't in MK

The MK always felt much bigger to me than 107 acres. Maybe because traffic flow at DL is so awful compared to WDW when the place is crowded. The Central Plaza at the MK is HUGE compared to DL's... look how long the walkway is from the Hub to the Tomorrowland entrance in the aerial photo.

If I'm not mistaken, DLP is the biggest MK style park.

Is HKDL smaller than DL Anaheim?

This will not be a long ride. And the indoor show scenes will be modest, but terribly cute.

I would not plan a vacation around this little coaster.
