Too bad he, too, will become as jaded with politics as the rest of us.) In any event, we went to a park near the airport to see it. I found it interesting that there were NO security forces to be seen. I could have stood there with a shoulder mounted weapon and fired it and no one would have been the wiser. Aren't we supposed to protect or symbols of America? So, we were pretty far away and I decided to drive on to the airport property and see how close I could really get. After weaving my way through many backroads...all unprotected...I got to within 20 yards of the plane. It was on the tarmac behind a bob-wired fence but I could have lobbed a rock at it. Two police cars were parked under the wings of the plane but I stood there with my son for 15 minutes and took pictures and no one approached me to ask what I was doing. Good thing our security is heightened.

They certainly all have faults and half of us "hate" whoever is in office at the time. BUT, I never lose sight of the fact that the office itself is a place of great distingushed position. Ours is the greatest government the world has ever seen. Yes, scary I know...but Freedom is worth it.

Think about the fact that when the Supreme Court orders the President to do somthing, the command-in-chief of our armed forces follows the court's order instead of just having the judges arrested. In how many countries would that actually happen?
