It was a contest and I won 2nd place, but Lorrie's sister and aunt told me afterward that the 1st place winner didn't play by the rules and that I should have won---I may have officially walked away with 2nd, but their comments and Lorrie's laughter and hug with me after the song made me feel like 1st! But I think the best feeling I ever had from singing solo was one Christmas Eve a few years ago when I sang "O Holy Night" at a church service. I just really felt the song when I sang it, and I had some comments made to me afterward that deeply touched me which I'll never forget.

I also sang in the ensemble scenes. The first two nights we had about 50 people in the crowd (Wednesday and Thursdays aren't big theater nights), but our closing night (Friday) the auditorium was completely full with people standing against the walls in the back. Supposedly we had about 450 people in there. I also play trombone, and have performed in groups in front of almost 100,000 people at a single time. I've also done the Rose Parade, which supposedly has a million people along the route. In high school I was our marching band's drum major, so there were probably more people looking at me specificially then, but our football games usually had about 1,000-2,500 people at them.
