My peoples creation story is that red-tail hawk dove into the ocean and brought the people to land as a gift to the Creator. I won't go into it in depth as these are oral tradition and not to be shared in this way. It really struck me the first time I heard it as it has similar tones to Noah and the Ark after the great flood.
