Unfortunately I was never told what exactly happened; all I know is she carried a lot of pain that she kept to herself. Wish for Dad: My dad was a very, very difficult person when I was growing up. He worked in a job that created a tremendous amount of mental and physical stress, and he took it out on us kids. The story is more complex than that, so let's just say he and I were at each other's throats for a long time. He retired in '96 and mellowed out considerably. He's almost a completely different person now. However, it seems he finds it very hard to forgive himself for the way he treated us kids in growing up. I forgave him a long time ago; I firmly believe that he did the best he knew how as a parent. Yes, it was hurtful, and yes, it was difficult and has had lasting effects on me into adulthood. We have a much, much better relationship, and he has even dealt with the gay issue a lot better than I would have ever given him credit for. So, for him I wish him the ability to come to terms with the past and stop punishing himself for it.

I think because of the era he's from he thinks he has to be married and has settled for someone he definately loves, but is not in love with. I also wish that someone would put an Austin-Martin in his driveway

I'd wish him a part in the film or Broadway play of his choice. For my mom: I'd wish my mom could take an extended luxury cruise to Italy and Ireland, two places she really would like to see.

For my husband: That he starts to play the lottery and wins so he can stop working, since he hates having to go to work every day! lol Seriously, I wish I made enought o enable him to be a househusband again - he totally dug it for the few years I let him get away with it in the past.
