I love the shots of the detail of construction and simple shots of the material used. THAT is exactly the stuff I eat-up The "icing" on TDS is indeed breath-taking. I can't wait to see it in person. Thank you for taking these types of shots and getting so many unusual angles not before seen. For example, the shot from the fortress looking toward the brigde with the Tower in the background. Awseome. You are posting some fantastic stuff - keep up the great blog Please share your impressions of the shows and Mythica. How does this place compare to Epcot or Animal Kingdom in terms of design or elaborate lush details? Have you been to Disneyland Paris? How does this compare?

No time now to do a written TR, but I can quickly say Mythica is severely underrated, and also seems a bit retooled from the version I saw posted online. It's a GREAT show, and the AAs are amazing. Tokyo DisneySea is absoutely the top when it comes to design, lush details and theming... even it's critics agree that it's tops in the theming and design department. It blows away the stuff at Epcot and Animal Kingdom, although they are both beautifal parks in sections. It's just the sheer amount of 'limitless' cash they had to 'overbuild' DisneySea. Everything is over the top in design, with no 'off the shelf' building materials and custome lights, light fixtures, tiles, glass, you name it. It reeks of being all hand done, and expensive as hell. It's really one-of-a-kind in this department. Disneyland Paris is also outstandingly beautifal, but sadly has not been maintained as well as DisneySea. It's the most beautifal Magic Kingdom type park (much more beautifal then the Tokyo Disneyland park) but is skimpier on attractions then the 'full' feeling you get when visiting either Tokyo Disneyland or Disneyland in Anihiem. Do see Paris when you can, but Tokyo Disney Resort (with both DisneySea and Tokyo Disneyland) makes the overall best Disney Resort in the world in my opinion. Both in price (admission is the cheapest) and overall value.

Some of the photos coming up were taken from places you can not normally get angles from, but I wanted to illustrate the fact that, even when you CAN'T normally see an angle in park, the designers built theming full-tilt all the way around. No mountain simply cuts off in DisneySea when it goes backstage. The TOT is themed from BEHIND, even though you can only see it from the Monorail. Portofino's theming continues on backstage, where no guest can see. THIS is what makes DisneySea feel "REAL" rather then just an astonishgly well designed theme park. And hopefully it will help others see the enormous amount of sweat, tears and hours that went into creating this beautifal park for the world to enjoy.

It's really incredible when you think about it, that there's areas incredibly themed that only the CMs get to see. Talk about boosting morale...

Thank you for doing this. To further your point, I have video of the entire boat ride around TDS and I remember being astounded at the angles and views afforded on this taxi boat. Too fantastic indeed. One thing I am most looking forward to seeing in person is the SINBAD ride. That looks wonderful. Does anyone have more insight ont he changes happening to that attraction? Keep up the great work Kayoss

And can I just say... starlight pass.... what a GREAT deal! You get to see Tokyo DisneySea at it's prettiest (nighttime) for 4 hours for just $27.21. I got on 5 rides and took another 100 or so photos. DisneySea for under $30.... It just doesn't get better then that! Anyway, expect an edited Sinbad ridethru shot from mutiple angles at my blog sometime before the end of the year.
