But when I see kids trying out on the show, I sit back and wonder... Who will possibly think it is a good idea for kids to have their own show in Las Vegas? Yet, the kids are an entertaining element of the TV show. Since the show runs on NBC, would it be possible for NBC Universal to instead offer a contract to perform at Universal Orlando? Seems to me that would be a win-win for NBC, as it would be another chance to publicize their resort. It would make a lot more sense for kids to be serious competitors on the TV show then, too.

You do know that you can be arrested for operating your brain cells while watching reality television, right?

I know that they're now pushing for a more adult Vegas than in the 90's, but there's still a lot to do there with a family. Maybe not the best place to go, but it's not absurd. And in all fairness, from what I've seen of the show (which is not much after the initial tryout rounds), they do judge skill on an equal level, regardless of age or anything else. I would be pretty surprised if they found a kid who was more universally talented (stage presence included) than all the adults that try out for the show. It's great that they get their 15 minutes of fame, but I doubt it will ever turn into much for than that for the younger set of hopefuls.
