It will be nice for our daughter to have her cousin to hang around with this trip. She doesn't get to see him very often because they don't live near us but they always seem to have fun whenever they do get the opportunity to connect.

FUN stuff and only 13 days! )

They've been best friends since pre-school and I KNOW that at 13 years old, DL together would be a blast for them! Yikes, I hope you don't run into too much traffic the day before Thanksgiving. How far of a commute do you have? We are coming from the Bay Area. I think we are going to head home early, like 4:00 a.m., the day after Thanksgiving.

LOL...now bear in mind, and I'm sure 4Disnee would back me up on this, I have absolutely no sense of direction! There may be a short cut that I'm not aware of, which is probably very possible! But, hey, at least I know how to get to Disneyland...that is built in radar! hehehe

Also, what is the "latest" we should get out of town (I'll take all the sleep I can get). Thanks!

And I'm hoping that since we're leaving at 6pm on a Saturday night...there won't be too much traffic. The traffic coming home...ugh...I know it's going to take forever, but we have to be back here for Thanksgiving...SO oh well....lol watch, on the 22nd I'm goin to be swearing and road raging huh?! )

We often leave from our house around 4 or 5 pm on a weekday evening and get to Disneyland somewhere between 11:00 to midnight thereabouts. I love night driving. I am dreading this next trip's drive because we are leaving at 4:00 am on Saturday morning. I will be SLEEPY! I am definitely a night owl, not a morning person! You'll have to let me know how the drive home goes, and I will do the same. I'm thinking of keeping a travel diary this time so I can do a trip report. So, who all are you going with? I've already said who we are going with. You'll know us if you run into us at Hojos. We'll be the ones with a very cute perky teenager...whose not afraid to wear her ears....a doting mom who can't help smiling and acting like a loon along with her daughter, and a hubby who just laughs and shakes his head like he just hasn't a clue what to do with the two of us! Oh, and chances are, we'll be singing and dancing happily as we go.... [ that was a warning, you may want to cover your ears ]

We'll be the 6'6 guy and 5'6 me...I'll be the one running toward DL dragging him, he's excited, but doesn't share the same "fanatic" status I do ;o)

I haven't traveled the "grapevine" portion of the 5 in years ... but lets put it this way.... Rush hour around here sets in pretty heavy by 7:30am .. and stays that way ... up until around 11am. Got a short window of time .. and by 2 .. Rush Hour to get home sets in. I'm not sure where it starts to get heavy. Magic Mountain/Valencia area? Or once you hit the San Fernando Valley? Not sure. But I can tell you at the 134/5 juncture .. It's SOLID right into Downtown .. 6 miles away. If you want to avoid traffic ... just be sure to hit the OC/LA county line by 7:30am ... to avoid the worst of LA City traffic.

Okay, no "gettin'" about it...I am old, but not at heart! *wink* Well, I'll be sure to look 'up' when walking around Hojos! At a mere 5' 2" I pretty much have to look up to most people, but I'll try not to crane my neck back too far to spot you and your hunny (<==yes, I spell it weird). Gosh, I envy tall people! LOL You two are going to have a fabulous time! How wonderful! I already can't wait to read your trip report!!!
