There are some films, whether full-length or shorts, that should never be remade - Casablanca, Gone With the Wind, Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, and The Sorcerer's Apprentice. You can't improve on perfection.

Wasn't forgetting it, exactly. I was just listing the first few that popped into my head.

Even if Sorcerer's Apprentice *is* based on the original story and has nothing to do with Mickey Mouse, Dis is still trading off the name to lure people in. It's no different than the "cheapquels" or the movies named after rides. Disney is desperate and willing to do anything to get people in. In fact, I'm even LESS interested in this film if it doesn't even have Mickey Mouse in it.

What's even funnier is today's article. Someone didn't get Amid's joke and actually wrote him an angry letter!!

Since this is my first day here, and the tone of this post is kind of harsh, let me just say that I LOVE Disney, especially the classic stuff. But I think the company has lost its way lately, so I'm just sounding off on my personal opinion, while hoping Disney soon regains its glory days. :)

I agree with Scutr. Don't destroy the magic of these films by remaking them! Now we can only hope AOL Time Warner doesn't remake Citizen Kane. ;)
