Okay. But having come to that conclusion, she could have criticized them thoughtfully and intelligently. Instead, she was indeed vicious and catty, which is a way to sell books and endear herself to lockstep far-right people, but no one else. And it's too bad that you can't make the distinction between a legitimate point of view and a vicious way of expressing it when it's one of "your guys" doing it.

And to Dabob, I'm sorry but I don't consider Sean Hannity or the American Spectator or the other fine columnists at places like National Review, Newsbusters.org, the Front Page etc. out of the Reagan mainstream, and they're not taking the media elite's line of thought on Ann's remark either. So I suggest you not presume to speak for the conservative movement as being of one accord on what Ann has said.
