    If so, I could probably tolerate paying for a $50 BJ or two... but anything more than that is ridiculous!!

    As someone who is a licensed agent with AIG the really good news is they're selling off American General. The service structure that AIG created there was so confusing and maddening that I just stopped using them and I'm a policyholder. American General has always been well respected, their life insurance is competitively priced but just the idea of having to call them for service would bring on a migraine.

    How so? They still got a big wad of money from the government after these accusations came to light.

    That's pretty much the size of it, right?

    Until and unless they *actually* pay for such behavior (either loss of money, or liberty, or both), they'll not care one bit.

    And they'll be perfectly happy to show up at a podium and "apologize" all anyone wants. THAT'S not punishment, it's an inconvenience.
