I guess that's why Studios at Saratoga Springs were going for $38 a night (no, that's not a type) over Christmas on Travelocity. A friend of mine took advantage of that and told me that that's what she thought it was worth. Also said it appeared cheaply constructed and had ''industrial looking exterior corridors''. I had noticed the same things on a few visits over there.

I wish Disney would start focusing on its parks and animation units, instead of focusing on being the world's leading timeshare company ... because that appears to be their goal. Enough is enough already.

I would agree though that they cheaped out on Saratoga Springs when they used outside corridors. That just SCREAMS Disney Moderate when all of the other DVC accommodations are at the level of Disney Deluxe resorts.

They absolutely decided to build their version of a DVC ghetto with Saratoga. Instead of copying a beautiful, quality resort like Old Key West (or the Boardwalk or Vero), Disney opted to slap some upstate NY theming on what's basically an I-Drive timeshare. Sad to lose the Disney Institute for that.

And it does appear people are noticing. You can get rooms there, at a discount, all the time.

I'd like to suggest that it's not the fact that the corridors are outside that means the resort has to look cheap. Old Key West has outside corridors, and yet people still are holding them up as the proper way to build. True, the Old Key West design doesn't make it look like corridors in the commn sense, but if you think about it, they are.

less hefty than if you attend 1 - 2 times per year -- but we're not going to go down that financial analysis again I hope.

If the comment is it is a pretty penny up front - then I agree. If it is meant to say the cost of privileges outweighs the benefits, than I whole heartedly disagree
