    That's what my cats eat, but their particular formulation wasn't affected. I heard the news while driving and sped home to check.

    The FDA is now saying that the addition of melamine may have been intentional. It's frightening to think that one act of sabotage (if that's what it was) could have such a big impact.

    Our cat just started on this diet and for the first time in 3 years isn't licking her fur off her tummy and we were thrilled. The vet assured me that her food was being recalled as a precaution but still, it almost, read almost, makes me want to start boiling the liver and rice that my mom used to make for our dogs :p

    I hope all our animals are doing OK :)

    Wow, glad you caught it. Since I switched to Royal Canin my cats' health and coats have improved dramatically. It's the good stuff.

    The latest news also indicates possible contamination at hog and poultry farms. Contamination has also been found in pet foods made and sold in South Africa as well as the North America.
