Oh well, at least we still have a couple of strands of garland on Main Street. Ain't that enough?

As far as I know, they still run the Chrismtas Jamboree in Tokyo.

In addition to not showing the Christmas show, I think it's at least as bad that they don't show the Vacation Hoedown. The original show really hasn't aged well, and I think that the music in the Vacation show is some of the best arrangements of those songs anywhere. There seems to be more linking the various segments together, and it's just a tighter show. Between the three shows, I think the original is the weakest, by far, and that's the only one that WDW shows. It's like they don't want this attraction to succeed.

But if they really wanted to improve the show, they'd fix the speakers, which were deplorable the last time I was there. Could barely hear the lyrics over the music.

It had a refurb about a year ago, and when I saw it in June, it wasn't half bad.

Must be patchy... I've had friends tell me it was great, other friends, not so much. I got lucky and caught a good showing.

I feel your pain! My 12 yo son gives me the same reaction, so I also haven't seen it in forever.

The main show would still be great if the audio didn't suck. The guys working on the last rehab tried their darnedest to get it up to a good level, but that's hard to do with a limited budget.

My next trip to WDW will be in about 2 years and he'll be staying home. My friend and I will be taking a girls only trip, no kids and no boyfriends, so I'll be able to do all the stuff that doesn't interest a teenaged boy. Including Country Bears and a chance to finally savor World Showcase (adult beverage in hand, should I choose).
