Not sure of what movies will be available, but Im not biting. I rarely rent movies so this doesnt appeal to me.

But like others, I barely rent movies, I usually just buy. Kind of like online music, I buy instead of rent.

I think MovieBeam looks like a great alternative to Blockbuster or Netflix. As for pause/rewind/etc, it's certain to have these, as the movies are stored locally on a hard drive inside the unit.

So basiclly it will be a understaffed apple store without selling computers that you can "rent" movies from. Interesting concept, dont think this one will fly either.

Between the cable TV box that already offers pay per view, VOD, and DVR -- adding a new set top box that is only limited to movies seems redundant. What Disney needs to do to make this an interesting system is to throw in some content for free -- ABC produced TV shows, news, older movies, animated shorts. When a system like this can start delivering desirable content for free or on an advertiser supported basis, and undercut the cable monopolies, it will be something that is worth looking at.
