We would always go down to Food 4 Le$$ and stock up for cheap and use the kitchen for almost every meal. The hotel in general has the feel of an apartment complex or condo. Very nice staff, super friendly and kind, I think they are on the ART system now. You can see the fireworks from almost anywhere in the complex. Something that is kind of cool is the pool and hottub are 24 hours. A really nice, safe, fun place to spend a vacation. You can rest assured that you will have little to no problems with your hotel. As far as walking distance, I haven't been to the resort in 4 years but it was behind a large empty parking lot and next to the Red Roof Inn by Disney Way, I walked it fine everyday when the van was crowded, my wife and daughter thought it was too long of a walk. But they are little wimpy! : }

The shuttle was nice and personal,but as will most buses/shuttle services I don't like that there are no seat belts- esp. for the kids (if there were, the were not easily accessable). The buffet breakfast was nice and the dining area had a great atmosphere. The room (we had 2 Q's, kitchen, and LR with sofa sleeper) was clean and quite cozy. The only reason we haven't returned is a matter of price- but for what you get, it's still not 1/2 as pricey as one of the Resort Hotels IMHO.
