We picked up our wristbands/buttons on Saturday around 1 pm for the 5 pm show. We didn't arrive until about 4:50 due to parade congestion, and while our seats were off center and to the back, it didn't detract from the film. We watched an episode of Walt Disney Presents called Disney '61 followed a film about the elk in the northwest, called The Olympic Elk. I loved watching the footage from 1961 presented by Walt, especially the ride-along on the Matterhorn. The complimentary water and popcorn was a nice touch (but the popcorn wasn't great but who can complain since I didn't have to purchase it). On Sunday we went to the Blue Sky Cellar to get recipe cards and for my daughter to color. The charging station would've been great if I had brought my charging cord. They had leftover buttons from week 1, which was nice. We also went to Stage 17 for water and more coloring. The meet and great was King Louie, which my daughter didn't want to do since she didn't know who he was. She did more coloring and the film was a cartoon that I had never seen or heard of, and sorry I don't remember the name. It looked fairly new, so maybe it is something from the Disney Channel. I do wish I could've stayed on Monday to pick up the week 3 button, but we had to hit the road before they opened up BSC at 10 am. (If anyone happens to pick up extra Fantasy buttons and wants to give them to a fellow AP, please let me know). It is nice that they are giving APs some extra events with so much down right now. The list at DL was extensive this weekend with all of ROA/train plus Splash, Jungle Cruise, and Autopia. I noticed today both GRR and Soarin are also closed. While I enjoyed the Opera House film and found Stage 17 a nice place to get off my feet, I am glad I didn't plan a trip just for these events as it wasn't worth that (IMO). We are back in March and I am interested to see what, if anything, they will have for that month. At least Splash will be back by that trip.
