Spirit, I'm not going to sit here and say that your tone doesn't rankle me at times. However, I shouldn't have let your comment get to me, and I apologize for snapping.

I'm not good at holding grudges or even disliking people. I'm one of those people who likes it when everyone gets along and who is mortally embarassed when they cause any discord or offend anyone. Again, I won't say you don't rub me the wrong way at times, but I apologize for getting angry. I was rude, most of all to you, but also to everyone else on this board. For that I apologize.

In my family food is love and the best way to apologize for anything, and if I could I'd make lemon meringue and coconut cream pies for everyone - I'm really itching to do some baking, too! Too bad meringue and cream pies don't ship well :-(.

Although I did not participate in that thread9 or at least not at that point ), I hardly think any apology is needed. We are all human and sometimes our emotions get the best of us. Best thing to do is forget about it and if you get upset, do what I do, walk away from the darn keyboard until you can gather you thoughts.

    No biggie. Forgive yourself :)

Calm down. Think about your next WDW trip ... CHristmas ... you'll have a GREAT time.

Relax ... maybe get a nice massage.

Oh, and never post when angry at the world (something I sometimes do and regret).

    No worries.

It's going to be a huge career change for me, and one I'm really looking forward to making. I had my interview on Saturday and right now it's just a waiting game. I'm supposed to hear something by the end of the week. I've never been more excited or anxious about a job as I am about this one. If don't hear something tomorrow I'm going to flip!

Good luck on the teaching certificate....it is a professional that truly needs the best people it can get. My oldest is just finishing her senior year of classes in college and has her student teaching ahead of her before she embarks on her career...teaching math to our young students.

Of almost 400 teachers going to graduate with her, only 7 majored in mathematics and she is the only female. And we wonder why we are really hurting in math and science....

I hope you hear soon.....fingers crossed for ya....

In the end, this is a board about a place that we all love, despite its faults, and I'd rather focus on that. With the state of the world today, there's no need to have any discord on our little corner of the internet.

Thanks for the well wishes. If I'm selected for the program, I'll be teaching middle school English. Math and science teachers are REALLY needed here too, but God didn't bless me with the ability to add things in neat little rows or feign an interest in algae or the basics of nuclear fission. I much prefer writing or discussing novels and criticizing spelling :).

    GROUP HUG RIGHT BACk, IGGY!

Well.. that's what I meant. I don't think you should apologize, period. That idea of everyone "getting to be nice to one another" does not fly because it's against human nature. People are bound to disagree and show emotions.

I agree ... if TDLFAN did so, he'd never stop apologizing ;-)

And my best wishes on the job, a very good friend of mine has taught English (albeit at the CC level) ... but if there's one thing this country desperately needs (well, it needs plenty of things but ...) it's quality teachers.

Besides, you can live the 'I'm I a terrible parent for taking my kid out of school to go to WDW' debate personally!

Hey, I'm already living it - I'm the terrible aunt taking my nephew out for two days (Friday and Monday) for our upcoming trip! :)

In March I had a shorter run-in with SuperDry, I wasn't really fighting him, but the fact that my very best friend had just died, and my dog of 10 1/2 years had just had a cancerous tumor removed and we were told he'll get more of them. SuperDry was just what I needed at that point. One thing affects an other.

As for the apology ... well, we are all friends here and I doubt if Spirit requires his friends to all agree with him.
