That's all I can say... IOA was solid, but missed the boat (pun intended) on a few key areas of theme park design (i.e. heavily themed que on Dueling Dragons for an unthemed coaster, unevenness of theming on Ripsaw Falls, etc.). It's a GREAT park that will get better, but IOA has a few nominal flaws. TDS seems absolutely FLAWLESS in its execution and I think it may very well de-throne "The Happiest Place on Earth" as the finest theme park on the planet... I wonder if ANYONE near the top of the current Disney hierarchy is bothered by all this... Maybe they think it's silly for OLC to spend so much on a park that only promises excellent value on the price to enchantment ratio for its guests, rather than an opportunity to exploit the Disney brand name for a huge return on investment... Curious to hear what the good folks out there have to say on the matter...

Damn well put. At IOA I felt like I was walking through a warm-up for DisneySea. IOA has some high points, like Spiderman (of course) and some great examples of theming, but I think the key words are "lopsided" and "unfocused". In contrast, DisneySea is coming together like a million piece puzzle which reveals a masterpiece upon it's completion. Marc

I'd rather have Vince Mcmahon running Disney than Eisner. Vince DOES actually care about a good product, despite the character that you see on TV. Anyhow, regarding TDS, well, how can I say it other than the truth. I have no reason to go back to CA, nor do I want to. However, I am saving my money to go to Tokyo. Take that Eisner! I give a good shout out to the Imagineers in Tokyo, they are the future of this business, no matter how much Eisner denies it.

It has the Disney name on it not Oriental Land Co. Disney designed it. OLC paid for it. The way I see it Disney has nothing to lose. This park looks absolutely stunning. I can't wait to see it in person.

I'm treating all these updates about DisneySea like clues regarding a gift that has yet to be opened. And DisneySea is getting a re-creation of the Ponte Vecchio Bridge in Italy?!! Oh great, Tokyo gets something like that while I'm still trying to figure out why part of the new Disney park in Anaheim got left with so many dull blank stucco walls. If Tokyo gets a "masterpiece," I want the pieces of the puzzle in California to be re-arranged!

Oh P.S. If the Japanese are right about Walt's spirit needing to be appeased then I think, like the ancient Egyptians, they are building a wonderous and fitting legacy to his name. Can this place be ANY MORE BEAUTIFUL??? And thanks to the previous poster my new signature is........drum roll, "TDS....Who's your daddy?!?"
