Our only fear is that the whole project may be given the dreaded SHREK treatment--and if it turns out to be a parody of itself, that won't bode well at all. The movie would eventually become dated and not at all timeless. (sigh.)

The poster we saw still had the word 'unbraided' under Rapunzel's name--as of a week ago. But we had also heard that Glenn Keane never wanted this to be a parody in the first place. Supposedly, it's the lunatic producer who's fighting to follow in the footsteps of Shrek--againt Glenn's better judgement. But we'll hope and pray...

I LIVE for stories about true love conquering all! I mean, that's the most beautiful sort of ending to bestow on ANY fairy tale!! ORDDU: As we've said countless times before, we fear that this particular version of RAPUNZEL may have its heart ripped out and changed so drastically that it will only be a mere shadow of the original. ORWEN: Rapunzel, herself, won't even be the REAL Rapunzel. Instead, some gawd awful witch is going to take some modern, disfunctional couple and turn THEM into the main characters--to teach them a lesson, I guess. But it's all so convoluted and messed up it'll most likely be another travesty--just like CHICKEN LITTLE was.

Right now. the only fairy tale movies that are coming out seem to be the Barbie movies.
