As you know, my dd is traveling to Vancouver in August. Not knowing the area around Vancouver Airport, (YVR), would you be able to please recommend a SAFE, clean hotel that she can stay in the night of Aug 25th? Preferably really, really close to the airport?

We could not get a flight out of Vancouver that Saturday to correspond with the flight she had to connect with from Port Hardy, so she has to stay the night and fly out to Los Angeles on Sunday morning (Aug 26th).

    Any great recommendation is appreciated!
(I can't stress the word SAFE enough here - LOL)

The rate for Hampton Inn Vancouver airport is around $150 Canadian per night. Canadian dollar is higher than US dollar, so the US conversion is around $135

Plus, the south airport (where the PH flight leaves from) is kinda remote and not easily accessed by shuttles and the like, she would just end up paying more in taxis.

    I'll email ya.

Although you have it backwards.. she will be arriving from Port Hardy on Aug 25th, staying the night before needing to catch a plane on the morning of Aug 26th to Los Angeles.

Boy, I do feel as if we're imposing, though. I just wanted information on local lodging. I didn't know you guys were a bed and breakfast!!
