They were pristine when I saw them in December. Only thing that bugged me were the adults & children who thought the rope was there for fun & they could crawl all over the statues to their hearts' content. HEATHENS!

I thought they were kind of pointless and another PR gimmick in a long line of PR gimmicks to help disguise the true problems lying with in Disney's divisions. I don't really care for these temporary gimmicks, and thought they clashed with the imagineered view of the Train Station.

I wonder how much the entire program cost, in manpower and money. I'd much rather see even the marginal cost be applied towards an animated project or theme park maintenance. Something with meat (or vegetarian equivalent). I'm sick of the finger snacks.

As with the view, I guess they wanted them to be at the Magic Kingdom, but didn't want people to have to have admission to see them.

From people I talked to, those who do not go to WDW often, or in some cases ever seemed to enjoy them the most....for me I liked them-- I applaud the charity effort.....but it made me miss WDW even more...so it felt like an appetizer-- but there was no meal as they were not at the entrance to WDW or DL.

Maybe if they spread them around the park and then passed out a scavenger hunt like map where you had to visit each one to answer a question. Or if they wanted to be really corporate spread them around all 4 parks. After completeing the quiz you get a pin or something.

So instead of a map with the locations pass out a card with all 75 listed broken down by which park they are in. Place each statue near a greeter or in a shop where a CM would stamp your wisit to each Mickey. After all 75 are stamped you get to go get your pin where a CM would stamp the completed card so you can only get one pin. That way Disney would sell more admission media, of course a small percentage would go to the charity.
