Nights generally cool down requiring a light sweater or even jacket. But I've also been there when wearing a t-shirt/shorts during the evening was just fine. I personally like the heat. You'll notice that when people go back to the park for the evening, generally dress accordingly. You can always buy a sweatshirt at one of the many gift stores if you need to! ºoº

Like the post above said though, the nights (Starting around 7-8) are very pleasant, warm, t-shirt and sandals do the trick. The park will be open until midnight while your there so take advantage of that. The mornings are the same way, but at noon things really start to pick up.

My advice is to bring a small fan. It helps a lot. Although it is hot and crowded, I would go again.

Last year we were there the last week of August and it was pretty hot for us. We live in N Cal with coastal fog, but our kids who live in the Sacramento area thought the weather was normal and just fine We just went early, brought lots of bottled water, bought one of those spray mist bottles and went back to the room in the afternoon or went to Aladdin or indoor attractions. What is hot for some people is OK for others. A hot day at DLR beats a hot day most anywhere else Just prepare yourself for it being hot and maybe the crazy weather we've been having this year will surprise you

Here's what I suggest: Have a general plan for what you want to accomplish each day, like the 3 major attractions/shows you HAVE to do, and make plans to do those early. Anything else you manage to get to will be icing on the cake. Get there early. It's cooler and emptier than any other time of the day. Leave the parks mid-day for a hotel/motel break. Take a nap. Dip into the pool. Figure out what you want to do meal-wise; make your PSs as soon as possible. I know lots of people like to be flexible and spur-of-the-moment, but waiting in line for an hour for a sandwich and fries is no one's idea of fun. Find "cool" (literally) areas to hang out. In DCA, the lobby of Turtle Talk with Crush (the animation building?) is a nice cool place. Have fun! At least it won't rain for you like it did for us in April.
