I have the cheapest pass and then realized starting August 20 my pass was not only good again but all the summer shows were still on and very long hours. Plus they were giving pass holders early entry in each park once. This all added up to had to go!

The first day I checked into the Motel 6 on Disney Way where lately has been my only choice because of price and within walking distance, about 13 minutes. After checking in I got to the park about 12:30. I picked up my WOC pass, got some free bread and headed to Cars Land and Radiator Springs Racers. I waited less than 10 minutes in the single line and fell in love with the ride. The theming inside and out is only a project that Disney could have done. After the first ride I turned around and got back in line to do it again. Then it broke down as it seems to do each day. I stayed in line, they got it fixed and by the time I got on it had been 70 minutes. Other than the fireworks I would say I never have waited an hour on anything. The main line was over 2 hours long and I heard the fast pass line gets almost an hour long and runs out very quickly. Being I'm always by myself, single line works great. I wish Toy Story still had one. Mad T Party was awesome, except for Laser man so much better than Electronic. The great sounding band is what does it. Cars Land comes alive at night with the Vegas type neon lights and the main ride looks like a Utah national park and the waterfall seems to glow in the dark. 11 1/2 hours the first day.

The second day I have early entry in DCA which means little sleep and a 17 hour day. I get in DCA at 7am and go straight to Luigi's Flying Tires. I ride it twice and enjoy it, getting the hang of leaning to make it move. I just wish it lasted longer and would have seen it before the beach balls were taken away. I then went to Radiator Springs Racers and rode it twice from the single line. These 4 rides on the top two new things took only 1 hour because of early entry. I started off on a pace to challenge my record of 50 attractions in a day but ran out of gas and slowed down to end with 40.

The third day with early entry at Disneyland and another 17 hour day on schedule I got to bed as quick as I could. I was so tired I didn't hear either alarm go off or set them wrong and woke up 30 minutes late. To make up for it I got ready quicker and got to the park at 7:20. I still got 5 or 6 attractions in by 8am when the regular folks that weren't going to DCA would show up. This ended up being anther long fun filled day but Fireworks show was canceled due to wind. The bad thing was I gave up WOC at DCA and waited an hour to be front and center in front of the castle. I still managed 41 attractions.

Day 4 was a very strange day. I get to Radiator Springs Racers, my new favorite ride there, surpassing Soarin' and it's down. I don't know if I should wait or go to the other park or what. I'm thinking and decide to take some pictures. I pull out of my backpack my big bulky camera and go to take a picture and something is wrong. I had put the battery on the charger and in my sleepy state that morning put the battery in my suitcase thinking it was the extra for the video camera and I wouldn't need it. Frustrated not wanting to go all the way back to the motel I headed over to Disneyland without doing anything in DCA. Since most people now head to Cars Land first Disneyland was half empty and I took advantage of it. I could only take 4 hours or so of not being able to take pictures. I then bit the bullet and made the long walk to the motel were I went for a swim, grabed my battery, changed shirts because of the humid heat and make the long walk back. All told it was about a 90 minute turnaround which actually is still shorter than some people wait in normal lines for the top rides. With camera in hand my turned around from things going wrong to everything going right. To top it off on Buzz Lightyear which in the 6 years since I have tracked all my attractions I have done over 300 times. I ended with 2 1/2 million and went back at closing to see that it was still the highest score of the whole day. About a year or so earlier I had ended the day first and third. I also waited front and center for the Fireworks and it went off as scheduled, although Dumbo didn't fly that night after TinkerBell.

So to sum up a little I had 11 1/2 hours on day one, followed by 17 hours, 16 1/2 because of alarm and 14 1/2 beacuse of battery. My last day I slept in and then took it easy eating at Costco and shopping before heading to Burbank. I was in the audience for Jay Leno in which his main guest was Howie Mandel. It was a good show which led me to my 3 hour drive home from another great trip at my home away from home and the "Happiest Place on Earth". I have been one who always loved DCA and just felt all the haters out there just didn't know what to do and see. With Cars Land if there are any haters out there left I fill sorry for you. With Mater's Junkyard Jamboree I rate it a C ticket, Luigi's a D and RSR an E ticket ride easy. I probably spent more time at DCA than Disneyland on this trip. I won't say DCA is better but I certainly won't say it's worse. The best two amusement parks in the U.S. are back to back.

Link below that I hope allows you to see 22 of my 422 pictures that I kept weeded down from 660 I took.

I started keeping track of every trip since 2005. Since then I have been in the parks 81 days and now have seen the great Aladdin show 51 times. Wish I was there for their 10,000 show, a milestone.
