Now we need survival tips. Does anyone have any?? Will we be able to go on Pirates as a family or will we have to do it as a single rider? I've never paid to much attention to babies on rides before but now I'm interested. Will they let you on the gentle rides just holding the baby or can he be in the baby borne/snugle carrying devise? Any helpful comments would be welcomed. Thanks

You will have to hold the baby on each attraction. Pirates may be ok, but many do not recommend it for the under 1 age group (though we have taken younger children on - depends how you feel holding him down waterfalls).

Almost all the attractions are ok with Babies with the exception of - Indy, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder, Dumbo, Astro Orbitor, Star Tours, Space Mountain and Autopia.

If you wish to ride any of those, you can use baby switch. Simply ask the cast member at the entrance of the attraction. One of you queues and rides, and then the other one gets on at the exit without queing again. It's great!

You will learn to appreciate DL on a whole new level now. Just plan to only do a couple of things all day, and don't get frustrated if you do not fit much in. Also, build in times for breaks.

A word of advise, be sure & keep an eye on your stroller & don't leave anything in it that you wish to keep. We had ours stolen last year & when we finally got it back, it was empty, down to the diaperbag!

A stroller tip for you-- we put everything we needed for the day in a see-through ziploc bag in the back of the stroller. That made it a little less tempting to thieves I think, since it was just a few diapers, wipes, and a binkie, plus it got us through security without having to unpack everything every time. We didn't use bottles, though, so I'm not sure how that would work. And if you're nursing, I also recommend the baby care center--they have private places that are VERY air conditioned and quiet.

(And if you're really worried about your stroller, I have a friend who does this: she takes a bike-type lock and locks the stroller and diaper bag to a fence whenever she leaves it. It's obviously a little more time consuming, but if it will keep the worrying away... )

(And as another aside, I've taken my own stroller to DL and DCH hundreds of times without any problems ... sorry to hear "raer" had such a bad time!)

    ENJOY!

I am a little surprised that security hasn't come up and cut the bike lock. I would think any type of object that is locked to a fence at Disneyland would be at least "unlocked" by security.

I've heard of leaving the diaper to make it look dirty. Though I've never done it myself.
