We were planning to go to lunch with the MIL ( who bought our passes and gave me a PREMIUM AP totally UNEXPECTED) then we planned to go to DL for the rest of the day. After lunch, getting to the hotel, checking in, getting all the stuff required for a vacation with a 1 yro up to the 3rd floor ( thank god for elevators)the rest of the day at the park ended up being about an hour and a half. We activated our passes, watched the parade, walked about and used the baby center. we ate at Mimi's such yummy food. we totally ate too much.
on Wednesday we arrived around 10:30. we decided to let the park photographer take a picture of us in front of mickey/ train station. He told us all about the picture pass, and we were hooked. For the rest of our trip whenever we saw a photographer we went and got pictures done. He even followed us over to the tunnel and took a few special pictures of us under the "here you leave" plaque.
We CLOSED the park down. we did pirates, jungle cruise, indy (with the rider switch passes) tiki, billy hill at the Golden horseshoe, haunted (on a soft opening) TSI (we watched the pirate themed singers), we watched the Dapper Dan's (favorites of ours,)we forgot about pooh, and we didn't even touch fantasy land that day. Needless to say EVERYTHING takes longer with a baby. we were almost to the exit when we realized that we had stuff in the lockers...
thursday, we took more photos, went to the princess lunch at Ariels Grotto in DCA. AWESOME food. they have an infant portion for no extra charge. it was REALLY fun. right before the princesses were going to start coming out, I smelled something coming from the general direction of my daughter. I was getting ready to take her off to the restroom and change her, when the princesses started coming out. so since she wasn't freaking out and MIL wanted pictures. I waited. BAD IDEA. When I finally get her to go and change her I stand her up in the highchair to brush the "lost bits" of food off her lap, and I look down..... and she was litterally sitting in a POOO PUDDLE.. and of course we are on the BACK side of the restaurant as far away from the restrooms as possible. So I scoop her up and hope.. 1) that I am not flashing her little poopy behind at all the other people having their lunch, 2) that the smell isn't as bad for them as it is for me, and 3) that i am not getting any of it on me...15 minutes, a bath in the sink, and a fresh outfit later, we return to the table, to finish our desert. while mil watched the baby we got to do, the animation academy, tot, and screamin. then we did the carousel, and the new toy story ride.then we said goodbye to mil and went back to dl to hit fantasy land we did, alice, peter pan, pinochio, dumbo and the long walk back.
friday we did autopia, baby fell asleep next to dh.
we used the baby center every day.
Every night we said thank you to mr. Walt and blew him a kiss,(dh thought i was silly, but i liked the little tradition)

Your advice and info was all very helpful for our trip. I wasn't sure how she would handle some of the dark rides and she loved all of them. she was dancing on Pirates ( and singing ) she had fun on pinochio. I was soo darned tired.. and daddy was on his 2nd ( or fourth ) wind. and he was so cute with her. he narrated the rides all the way through. look there's pinochio, uh oh they went to pleasure island, oh no it's monstro, oh look the blue fairy. It was so fun just to see them together.

Sounds like you had a really great time. Congratulations on having a MIL who will give you a PAP. Mine can't figure out why we go all the time.
Hope your future trips with DD go as well.

Sounds like you had a really good time. Nice that you get along well with your mother in law and you were able to spend some fun time alone with your husband :)
