So that's pretty darn cool.

Oh, and Matt and I broke up in September or October. Long story, but suffice to say that if you do not get along with your SO's parents, it's not likely to last if your SO is a 5-year-old in a 30-year-old's body. ;)

And, I'm moving out of the house I'm sharing with others this weekend, then crashing with a friend for about 5 weeks before I move into my apartment in early July. It's going to be SO nice to have my own danged kitchen all to myself again! I can't wait!

Anyhow, I'm still doing tons of shows and playing lots of poker, but I think I may try to get in a DL trip sometime in the next few months once I've been at work a while longer.

    So, what'd I miss while I was gone? :)

The real party was on Saturday, 4/20 and it was pretty cool that my mom & one brother made it, as well as my bestie and some other Houston folks, plus all the Austin folks. All in all, I'd guess around 80-100 people filtered in and out through the day between 3 pm when it started and 11 when I left. No idea how late it went, but 8 hours was as long as I could last. :) And the fact that the party was at my friend Rob & Nancy's house was AWESOME - they always through great parties, and it was wonderful to have one in my honor there. :) And, of course, it was nice to see that many people show up for my birthday...made me feel like maybe I am managing to be a good friend to some folks, esp since I had four cars of people from Houston come (nearly 200 miles) for the party. :)

But I didn't previously make a post on this thread! Does someone know that even though I'm happily married I have a secret crush on her and her red lipstick??

    ;-)

Aw, and thanks, Trippy - but I've been rocking more of a wine-colored lipstick this past week, sorry! The red will come out again soon, though, don't worry! :D

It's always middle age even if you're 95 years OLD. ;-)

I am with Goofyernmost; I turned 60 in April. I also had a great party planned and executed by my daughters. But I am most certainly NOT young! (In spite of the bounce house, popcorn and cotton candy machines and pinata.)
I know you will be super happy to have your own kitchen.
