Plus a lot of the disney stars would love to spend there days at the parks.

    1. Add a GMR style ride called "History of Disney Animation" which I think could really work.

    2. Expand Pixar Place into that area and keep most of the Pixar themed attractions in that area.

    3. Either move Muppet*Vision back there and create a Muppet themed land, or Move Star Tours back there and remake Streets of America into a Muppet Land.

The problem with RT's idea is that only the hardcore fans would care about that idea, and we are in the minority.

First off, I was never a big fan of the tram tour. I always found it to be too segmented, clinical, without any real flow or connection between the different elements on the tour.

I am thinking back to some old episodes of the "Wonderful World of Disney" TV series where they used to go on a tour of the Disney Studios and run across different elements of that studio by "accident." It was always under the pretense of trying to find where Mr. Disney happened to be working that day, or something like that.

I think it would be kind of fun if they recreated the spirit of those old TV shows in their studio tour. I'd also make it more intimate by reducing the size of the trams to accommodate fewer people, but maybe dispatching the ride more frequently.

Catastrophe Canyon needs to disappear. It never served any real purposed other than to try and be a knock-off of the Universal Studios earthquake attraction.

The best thing about this is the great Villain thing at the end. I love Davy Jones Organ and Narissa's Costume Etc. so open an AFI branded walk-through closer to the front of the park. Potentially Sounds Dangerous Building in a few years as it's gone "Seasonal." so Disney can continue to place movie props and what-not there on display.

I'll leave it to you to tell the various divas from said show that they are relocating to central Florida......oh and as a part of your new filming location, Ms Hatcher, you can expect a tramload of gawkers to wolf whistle and yell at you every seven minutes.

Uuuuuummmmmmmm...........yeah. That's gonna go down REAL well.

Sure, there are all sorts of logistical issues involved that would need to be worked out, but it wouldn't be impossible. They could do the exact same thing Universal does when something is filming, and just take an alternate route for that time. In the instance of Wysteria Lane, since it's a dead end where the trams go through it, turn around, and come back, they just bypass the street completely. Sure, that leaves some disappointed guests who didn't get to see the buildings 'up close' (like you get all that close anyway), but I would bet that most would be far more excited to get a glimpse at a real show filming than to see some lonely fake facades.

And as for moving them to Florida, there are far worse places to live as a TV star, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if there was something in their contracts that said that ABC (hey! it's already owned by the right folks!) could move the filming somewhere and they would have to follow.

In reality, I'd guess that Desperate Housewives won't be filming at all in a year or two so that wouldn't be the best move, but maybe they should take a cue from the park's early days (and USO's as well), and just make a bunch of things exclusively in Florida. I know that in the early 90's most of Nickelodeon's stuff was filmed at USO, and it did a great job of getting me excited to one day go there.

If Disney did the same thing with Disney Channel or Playhouse Disney shows, and added a 10 second clip on to the end saying something as simple as "Filmed in front of a live studio audience at Disney Studios in Orlando Florida" and showed an iconic shot of the park (no hat please, and I would leave Hollywood out of the name, since that's just confusing, though there is a Hollywood, Florida...) I'm sure that would be enough to get kids excited about going. Show that to them 4-5+ times a day at the end of their favorite shows, and they've got millions of kids across the country (and possibly world) who want to go there and have a chance to go watch one of the shows being filmed. That alone would bring excitement to the park, as no two days would be the same. Put in a "Now Filming" board at the park entrance to let folks know what they could see that day and where, and it adds a ton of reality and depth to the experience.

I know they sort of tried doing this in the early days (what exactly did they film there? And did they let anybody know they were doing it?), but I would see this as being a much more public thing. Letting guests see the filming first-hand isn't something that would be able to start huge marketing campaigns, but it would certainly spread word-of-mouth, especially if kids got to see their favorite shows. I geuss most of the soundstages are now full of other stuff, and there really isn't anywhere to expand the park (other than into the parking lot, but that would be tough to access and work out thematically, or take out the tram tour, but I'm sure some of these things would need outdoor sets too) to build more sound stages, but I think if they went full-force into the idea, they could make the park a really exciting place to be.

Teri Hatcher is way too nice ... she'd likely go meet them. I've had the pleasure of spending time with her and her daughter at a party a few years ago (I'd tell you got a kiss from her, which I did, but you wouldn't beleive it and MPierce might start getting palpatations!)

But to move back ontrack, Disney has no intention of moving anything to Central Florida. There was a brief window for production to be done seriously and that got slammed shut years ago!

A lot of forgettable crap, gameshows, scenes for a few ABC daytime soaps ... and oh yeah, commercials.

Occasionally, Wheel of Fortune was shot there, but nothing really memorable.

She seems nice enough, and certainly a very attractive young lady. However, Faye Dunaway gots the key to my heart.

Faye Dunaway huh....obviously way more sophisticated than I was at the time - my crush was more Goldie Hawn...( and it all comes full circle as today I think Kate Hudson is a doll )

You didn't lust over Lada Edmund Jr. when you were a young lad vbdad.

We got our first TV in 1953. I became instantly addicted. The only down thing about it was when my folks watched the Lawrence Welk Show.
