But I have to say, that the girls hair was basically all the same, in a slicked back up-do with fake extensions and tons of glitter and makeup. I was not impressed with the result and I bet these parents paid a pretty penny to get it done. Some of the extensions were quite frightening. In addition, the girls were dressed in these itchy, scratchy dresses in 90 degree heat. (though I did see one girl change after the breakfast as she was going into the park). I did not push or even talk to my sisters about the BBB because of the results I was seeing and I don't think they would have wanted to look that way. I guess I just don't understand the whole concept. My sisters had a blast at the princess meals and even danced with Prince Charming. Overall, I guess everyone enjoys Disney a different way and the most important thing is that the girls enjoy the experience. But I wanted to know if I was alone in feeling like the BBB results were a little strange? I could very well be alone on this, but just wanted to check.

Lots of young girls come out looking like pink caffenated pop stars on some sort of illegal substance. Not a pretty sight.

Also... I have started seeing girls who are being made up more like punk rocker stars (spikey hair and wild colors) than Disney Princesses... The whole concept is sickening to me. Like a bad Halloween nightmare that won't go away. Worst than Fastpass I swear.

There is an option to have a tasteful princess up-do with a tiara and a little splash of glitter with no extenstions. I REALLY liked this on the few little girls who chose this option and thought it was the cutest of them all.

They barely put any color on her at all..mainly a little very light glittery stuff and her hair was not teased. It was pulled with the fake ringlets banded around her own little ponytail. Some of the little girls did come out looking like they should be standing on a street corner somewhere. When my daughter expressed to the "fairy godmother" that she didn't want Megan to look like a cartoon character, her requests/concerns were met with total consideration and cooperation. We did attend the BBB in the castle. The result was that my 4 yr old "Cinderella" felt like a princess for a day, and it was to her 4 yr old mind, the highlight of her visit. I can see and agree how this would NOT be something that allot of people would enjoy or want their children to participate in. I guess it's for each individual to decide what they will really enjoy and are willing to pay for. I do think the prices are outrageous and we would not do it again on a future visit. It was a one time experience that was fun for her, and it was enjoyable to see her little face light up when they turned her around to see herself in the mirror. I don't know what they're thinking with the spikey, colored, glittery hair for the little guys however. But, I only saw a couple of them running around. The most interesting thing I found about this whole experience was that on the day we were there, there were more Dads than Moms with their little girls and they (Dads) seemed to be enjoying seeing the transformation. And, the majority of the little ones were getting the most expensive package. I guess it's a big moneymaker for them. It was fun for her, fun for us to see her enjoy herself so much, but, as stated before, wouldn't do it again.

At that rate we could end up seeing as many BBB's as DVC kiosk. I guess if the little girls want it, and the parents are willing to pay for it, it's here to stay. I just hope it doesn't get completely out of control.
