Beasly Kingdom back on the front burner?

Jim Hill is reporting today that Beastly Kingdom is back on the front burner. But instead of the old concept, this one is to be based around Classic Disney characters. And DisDream said they have heard rumors of a crop of new character based rides like an E-Ticket Lion King Flume Ride, a high capaciy Bambi dark rde, and one based on Pagasus from Hercules.

I can maybe believe Pegasus, but the Hercules "brand" isn't that valuable to Disney.

Narnia is more likely. But not exciting enough for me, personally.

I wonder if this is a counter punch to Harry Potter coming to Uni.
If this is true I am interested in seeing the actual attraction line-up and concept art. The art on Jim Hill website s the old Beastly Kingdom artwork, but you can see the Pegasus ride.
It also sounds like a copy of Mermaid Lagoon may fit. This sounds like a DAK version of Fantasyland.

A Bambi darkride? That would be really boring. Darkrides are all about unique settings. London, Neverland, a jewel mine, a flood. There's nothing that will be very interesting about traveling through a generic American forest and looking at it from different angles. It's the same reasong why the proposed Robin Hood ride got shot down in the 70's: there's just not much to look at or cause any tension at all. If they must have a Bambi attraction, make it the shooting gallery.

A Bambi Dark Ride could be fun if they used the Indy tech and Spidey 3-D. Made it all about forestry complete with a real forest fire, a hundred running furry critter AAs, and a humourous chance to "stop and smell the Flower".

Actually, I could see the use of a Bambi ride there as a 'cute' attraction (like Winnie the Pooh) for the little ones and their families. To be honest, there's really not a lot for the younger set at Animal Kingdom. If done right, imagine the forest fire scene of the movie as a climax. That actually could be quite exciting, especially if real fire were to be used...

Um, I beg to differ. Jim's been wrong so many times on so many topics. He's repeatedly made assumptions based on bad info, probably fed to him by people within the company who were either 1) disgruntled/fired or 2) genuinely want to see him embarrassed by his continued gullibility.

And he will strain and strain to justify and vindicate his erroneous, previous articles. Or just ignore them when the evidence he was wrong is just too damning.

He's a goofball who gets way too much exposure.

Al's an oddity, but Jim's just... ick. He's just got no inner governor as to what's credible.
