I'll need a place to park, as I'm driving to california. Should I try priceline? I've always wanted to check out the Candy Cane Inn. What about Paradise Pier hotel? Or the HoJos? I typically have stayed with family in SoCal, so I know a lot about what's inside the parks, but little about what's right around them - like hotels! Thanks!

I think it's one of the most laid back and relaxing of the hotels near Disneyland.

I don't know of any place offhand that's under $99 and fits all your "wants," but most are only $10 or 20 more than that. (PPH is quite a bit more.) Motel 6 was mentioned elsewhere as being $60/nt but I don't know if they have a shuttle.

You could try the Desert Inn it is across the street and also either Holiday Inn (on Katella or Walnut) THe HI express does have a pretty good cont breakfast (fruits and bagels hot/cold cereal etc) The one on walnut doesn't. I would also check the Carousel Inn across the street.

Plus they have free parking. We have never had a problem finding a parking spot, but the lot is always full. But we go DL off-season and it might be less crowded. www.parkvue.com

Although several people including my self alerted the front desk, no towels ever appeared at the pool. Not a deal breaker, just something to keep in mind. That would never happen at the HoJo. That place is really on the ball, and every staff member is so nice and helpful.

(Overbooked, lost reservation, bugs in your room, etc.) My favorite it the Best Western Park Place Inn. It's not a resort, but all rooms have refrig, microwave, & breakfast. It's right at the cross walk, a tiny bit closer than Park Vue & the staff there actually cares that you have a pleasant stay.

We had never stayed there before and would not recomend it to anyone. The hotel itself was fine, but the manager needs some help. We were sitting in the lobby waiting for our room to be cleaned at 3:30 in the afternoon when another customer came in with a concern. He was concerned about the fact that their room was never ready before late afternoon. They had small children who needed to take naps after a long morning at Disneyland. He explained to the manager that his wife had made the beds herself for three days and they had to find the maids to get clean towels. He was not upset just concerned. The manager proceeded to scream at the man and call him a liar multiple times. This was something that could have easily been handled. As the manager was screaming at him he was saying he didn't want to lose their business. Well sitting in the lobby I was embarrassed for the other employees. If this is how he handles a small problem, I would hate to hear how it would be handled if a real situation occured. I WOULD NEVER recomeend this motel for that reason.
