But nothing that is to run down. Your guys are the best at finding deals or great places, so any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Candy Cane Inn - adjacent to Disneyland it is an easy walk or they have their OWN shuttle. Nice property, small rooms. Moderately priced rooms.

Best Westerm Inn - location, location, location. Directly across the crosswalk from Disneyland. I've never stayed there so I can't comment on the room. Moderately priced.

Howard Johnsons - down the street from Disneyland, easy walk. City shuttle bus service available. Rooms are larger than average. Can get views of the park/fireworks. Moderately priced. Although, you can get some great Entertainment Rates at only $54 a night at certain times.

Embassy Suites - actually located in Garden Grove, must drive. Nice hotel. All suites. Includes hot breakfast. Must drive in to the park or take shuttle service. Rates are from $99 - $159.00 depending on availability.

Those are the hotels that I would personally recommend. I've stayed at other years ago, but I would stick with these.

Candy Cane Inn - yummy free breakfast, private shuttle

If you want to be near the crosswalk into the parks we like Carousel Inn or even Park Vue Inn. Both clean, cheap and convenient.

And I can never say enough about the oh-so-pretty-Disneyland-like landscaping at the Candy Cane.

Both places were fine for their purposes .. but I admit, for me, all I look for in a motel, is clean and comfortable. To me the place is just a place to crash, clean up, and get back to the parks. That said:

The Candy Cane is not to far from the park, about a 10~15 minute walk (but they have their own shuttle that runs I think every 15 mintues) The place was nice, clean and quiet. I had no problems with my stay there. Room was a bit dark ... but comfortable. Room had a small refrig and coffee maker. I think I got the room for about $90 a night.

The Anheim Plaza is closer to the park (about a 5 ~ 7 minute walk). Tho the motel does show it's age a bit more than the Candy Cane, it was still in fine condition. The room seemed larger to me, and was definitely brighter. Room had a coffee maker, refrig and microwave. (I have learned that is not true of all rooms, but can be requested). Bed was very comfortable and may be a bit to soft for some. The room cost me approx 60 a night.

So, that's my two cents on this topic!
    :)
