If anyone knows any good pizza in the Denver area, let me know. I've basically suffering "good pizza" withdrawls since we left Washington. Not that what we got there was anything special. Just Little Caesars, but the manager was a great manager and so his pizzas were always prepared well. In AZ we went straight cheap. But here, we've tried many, many types and not much success. We had good pizza at Anthony's downtown, but when we tried the one near where we live, it wasn't good.

You have to call in an order two to three hours in advance. We call at 9 am for a lunchtime delivery by 1 pm at work. (They are THAT good!) In the AM when we drive by on the way to work, the chefs can be seen in the window making the dough for tomorrow's pizzas. The restaurant has two tables. Everyone takes it to go. The white walls of the pick-up area is covered in black Sharpee notes of how much people love the place. When you are done with a Joe Peep's pizza, you either have to nap sitting up or at least make sure you are in an upright position to avoid indigestion. The tomatoes are so fresh, the acid can be bothersome at times. Need I say more?

But it is mighty tasty. http://www.littlestarpizza.com...ss1.html Just saw a 'Best Thing I Ever Tasted - Pizza' on Food Network last night. Lots of good places.

Used to be just a walk-up take-out. Then they added a small dining area. Now it takes up most of a city block with live entertainment on weekends. They still throw the dough in the window of the old take-out part. I will say the very best is my own taco pizza. DS35 requests it on his birthdays. Yeast crust with refried beans and taco meat and cheese. After baking add lots of lettuce, fresh tomatoes and crunchy tortilla chips. Everybody raves about this.
