I should say that on our first day we don't arrive until after noon, so we won't be rushing to the parks first thing in the morning -- it would be fairly easy to just go to the ticket booth. Also we are staying at the Disneyland Hotel -- can we buy tickets there? Thanks!!

When you buy at the park, they are a paper ticket. (This may be only for one-day passes, however, I'm not sure.) If you do decide to buy at the park, go online to disneyland.com and purchase them there first. Then go straight to the entrance gate. They will print your tickets out right there and let you in - no waiting at the ticket booth.
