Other options are to Rent a Car, I like going to Hotwire.com for low rates.

A Private vehicle, if you have a large group, it is a good option, maybe a Limo, or just a Town Car, or even a Van. Benefits are a fixed, guaranteeed price (unlike a taxi, which runs off the meter, in both mileage and Waiting time in heavy traffic) and the assurance of Non-Stop delivery.

Then the Shared Vans, such as the Prime Time Shuttle and Super Shuttle. The main drawbacks here are the fact they want to fill up the entire van before they leave the airport, even if they have to go around multiple times to find passengers. Also the possibility of having to drop of a local at their home between the Airport and your Hotel, which takes up a lot of time.

Our flight was only 2 1/2 hours! If we had been staying at one of the resort hotels, it wouldn't have been too bad, but when we pulled in to Disneyland Hotel, the bus sat there for about 45 minutes! Then, procceeded to sit for 20 mins each at Paradise Pier, and Grand Californian, before finally going to the other hotels. As HoJo's was the last drop off, the total trip was way too long!
I'm not sure if that was an unusual day, but when it takes longer to get to your hotel from the airport than it does to fly to LAX, plus the fact that we had 2 6yr olds, and a 4 yr old wondering when were going to FINALLY go to the parks, we were NOT happy at all. We've always taken Super Shuttle, and it's never taken longer than 1 1/2 hours....

I've heard similar stories to that of 'aristokat'. Sometimes they don't even drop you off at your hotel - just one close enough.

You can prepay for your SuperShuttle service online.

When staying off site I take the Super Shuttle, and usually have decent luck...but one time I got a "tour" of several area neighborhoods before arriving at my hotel!!
