I saw it in IMAX yesterday in London and it was incredible. I loved the movie anyhow but it was probably one of the best transfers I've ever seen to a large screen format. It made you really appreciate the stunning visuals from San Fransokyo.

If I was right and it didn't get a release in the U.S. then I hope Disney push for a re-issue in large format screens.

Unfortunately I couldn't watch it on an IMAX screen, I have seen it in the Buena Vista Theatre on the Disney Fantasy. Since I don't want to watch it in German and they don't show it anymore in English, I guess I have to wait for the BD to see it again.

It is so gosh darn sad. Even my 7 year old son said it makes him have "little tears" in his eyes.

It's been awhile since the promotional focus has been on the actual characters rather than celebrity voices.

I'm much more excited for Zootopia and Moana.

I haven't read any of the comics, but my understanding is it was mostly a tradition Marvel XMen comic, but set mostly in Japan.

"The filmmakers’ idea — never stated in the film — is that in a parallel universe after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, the city split off and an influx of Japanese immigrants helped rebuild it."
