We'd like to keep the cost reasonable. At regular local restaurants they'll often stick a candle in an order of dessert if it's someone's birthday.... Is this an option at Disneyland? And can I just say I'm so bummed that Splash Mountain is being refurbished right now? :-( That's my favorite. TIA!
Originally Posted By DlandDug You have several options. The most obvious is "My Disneyland Birthday," held daily at the Plaza Inn. For $10 each guests get to have a party on the outdoor patio of the Plaza Inn. Party hats are provided, along with drinks (punch or ice water) in decorated souvenir cups. Your host is Pat E. Cake, who sees to it that everyone gets a small cake, along with frostings and sprinkles. The party is highlighted by the appearance of Mickey and Minnie (sometimes Mickey and Pluto), who dance with the kids and then stick around for a special photo op. It really is a lot of fun. You can also have any restaurant bring out dessert with a candle. A step up is the Birthday Bucket, available at full service restaurants. They have a princess themed one that includes a small cake, stickers and an exclusive pin. Goofy's Kitchen also has a Birthday Bag with goodies. These are readily available. You can also call the Resort dining line (714/781-DINE) and make even more spectacular plans, if you are so inclined. There is only the cake and juice to drink and it isn't combined with the meal. It is a lot of fun. (Mrs. Dlanddug)
