But I have read various versions of the New and Old Testament (including Hebrew School and Latin lessons as a child). I have read the Quaran. And many Eastern texts. I have travelled 5 continents and spent time in the Middle East. My view - is there a god? That would be nice. Is there one god? Maybe. Is there one true faith? NEVER. Is there a spirit and a compulsion to do right? I hope so. Is it my duty to use my god given gifts (lucky scientific developments maybe) to question, explore and improve? Absolutely!

Add that to their leading role in the creation and financing of the Prop 8 campaign, which many of our regulars rightly took personal offense to, and it's no wonder they would be mighty unpopular around here.

One of the best "times" I ever had inmy late 20's/early 30's was with an ex-Mormon. She was married at 17, divorced at 25, and made her mission to make up for lost time. I think Athiesm makes people grouchy.
