We've got X reading religious holy books. Our brilliant plan is working!

    I'm just a twisted guy
Is this the pinnacle, is this the pinnacle, the pinnacle of being alive

I just want to take my chance to live through a miracle

    Ooah

    We walk into the tide

I just want to take my chance to live through a miracle

When the see-saw snaps and splinters your hand don't come crying to me
I'll only see your good side
    And believe it's a miracle
    A miracle

I slap the water and watch
The fish dance in the ripples of us
    We're just stubborn duds
    Blinking eyes encased in rust

But I have read various versions of the New and Old Testament (including Hebrew School and Latin lessons as a child). I have read the Quaran. And many Eastern texts. I have travelled 5 continents and spent time in the Middle East.

My view - is there a god? That would be nice. Is there one god? Maybe. Is there one true faith? NEVER.

Is there a spirit and a compulsion to do right? I hope so.

Is it my duty to use my god given gifts (lucky scientific developments maybe) to question, explore and improve? Absolutely!

And there lies the problem. Different people have a different understanding of what is "right".

I tend to agree. I certainly don't agree with LDS doctrines, but I have noticed that the LDS are the fovorite whipping boys in WE.

In WE's defense, no other organization or religion has multiple posters constantly trolling the boards.

Add that to their leading role in the creation and financing of the Prop 8 campaign, which many of our regulars rightly took personal offense to, and it's no wonder they would be mighty unpopular around here.

Not only their choirs, but their ex-Mormon girls. One of the best "times" I ever had inmy late 20's/early 30's was with an ex-Mormon. She was married at 17, divorced at 25, and made her mission to make up for lost time. Talk about some deeply religious experiences. God's name was being yelled out with quite some regularity.

    lol.

    You have no idea.

I'm currently watching a series called "the Bible for beginners". I'll link to it if you want, but I don't thinks you're gonna likes it.

I'm sure I could find some to link to that neither of us would like.

Meanwhile, HuffPo has started a religion section. Some of the comments about this development make the Scott Brown supporters in the Tea Party sound like pleasant little sweethearts. And those are the ones that got by the moderator!

I think Athiesm makes people grouchy.

When I first read that, my mind flashed on Ru Paul.

I know - I'm goin' straight to hell.
