This is next to POTC, no? Is the food that great, or is it the atmosphere?

Yes it is the restaurant in POTC. I personally like the atmosphere. As for the food it varies depending on ones taste. I had a good experience eating at BB. Yes the price was more than I would have cared to pay but I don't regret it. The food was good but not great IMO.

Can you tell me how the atmosphere may differ from other restaurants there? Like, is it interavtive with characters or something? I get the impression it's a little more upscale than that? Price wise...like more than $20 per person?

It is the atmostphere of being on the bayou and the pirate ride goes by on the water front...

It's more than $20 and no characters.

I took DH there for his birthday last summer. It came to $120 for lunch for 3 of us. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was incredible...we had a waterfront table.

It's not something that I would do EVERY time I went to DL, but if you've never done it before, I would tell you to do it.

We loved every minute of our lunch there.

I also always ask for waterfront seating and even with my reservation I've had to wait as long as 20 minutes after my reservation time but I love siting on the water it feels even more magical. It is not cheap and the last time I went we spent about $40.00 per person but we always find a way to fit it in by saving in other areas. If you have not been I would suggest it at least once.
