There was a lawsuit awhile back about whethere Disney had to allow the developers to build an access road to connect to Disney's road network, and the presence of the resort tells you who won. But is 100% not Disney, nor anything remotely connected to Disney like the Swan & Dolphin or the Hotel Plaza hotels.

It is hard to compare costs, but Bonnet Creek appears to cost more for a weeks worth of points than DVC does. We all love Disney best, but this place is no slum. That is WAY beyond anything I've seen in any Disney resort... DVC or otherwise.

When I stayed at POR this past January. My room in Alligator Bayou had and I kid you not, fake denim material in red and blue strips for draperies in my room. It looked like some recycled cheap motel room shower curtains reused for draperies. The TV Hutch was beatup and pitching forward so resort cast members had attached the back of the hutch to the wall using a large hook. The interior of the room fabrics were awful. Someone definately didn't have the gay gene. Haven't they ever heard of gingham!

However, the price (as best as I can tell, I will do further research) seems to be A GREAT DEAL HIGHER than the Disney Vacation Club, AND seems to lack the flexibility of room type vs. length of stay or flexible dates. However, as for con, I think the DVC has a case of Incredible Shrinking Room Size.
