The most ideal situation is to get the #2 spot and be able to post that "you're wrong." Sometimes within minutes of the original post! When a discussion gets up into 165 region, it takes forever just to read through the whole thing. And how much more can you say about the subject? Besides, by then the topic has usually taken so many twists and turns that it's hard to recognize what it was about anymore.

Then I go back and reread the posts in question to try to remember what I wanted to post about it. It can be a bit tedious. I'm also tending to lean away from an interesting looking thread that has 275 new posts to it - I just don't have the time!
