"[Obama] has a definitive way of doing business that will do us well."

Powell said he was disappointed by the McCain campaign and its use of Bill Ayers, as well as the robocalls.

But i forgot lol.

Anyway, WOW, this is just another HUGE slap in the face of the Bush administration and another nail in the coffin for the McCain camp. When you have the most respected guy from the Bush cabnient, ex general and someone who is liked on both sides of the asile now pushing for the enemy to win, you know you screwed up somewhere ;).

Obama was probably jumping up and down (okay, cant really see that lol, but you get my point) when he heard about this and plus the man is going to stomp for him?? Wow, that's even better.

This has been the oddest, most entertaining, most bizzare election I have ever seen. I'm honestly going to miss it in a few weeks :(.

Powell does a fabulous job of making his case. This was a heck of an endorsement.

What an incredibly articulate, thoughtful, intelligent, responsible analysis. And what a difficult decision for him to have made. I have the utmost respect for Colin Powell. The things he spoke of - "intellectual vigor," the party shifting right and becoming more narrow (and many other things) - reasonate very strongly with me. I've been posting about conservatives who have not supported McCain and with Powell now among them it makes me worry about what will happen to the party.

I am not looking forward to the reaction. To minimize the damage, they'll have to either trash him (which I can NOT imagine) or they'll try marginalize him. It'll be disheartening to see either.

He is making a statement here about inclusiveness that no one else is making, including most Democrats. I hope everyone gets a chance to listen to this interview. It's one of the more thoughtful soundbytes of the campaign.

So, RT...you said that a Powell endorsement might make you vote for Obama. Thoughts?

It might. Can't decide for sure until Election Day though. It would be mighty boring here if I wasn't around to defend McCain/Palin.

And in their mind he literally is.

To go against the GOP is un-American (because they're the only "true" Americans).

And once again, John McCain is squarely behind it, creating and fanning the flames.

What a twisted mess the right wing has become. Desperate and angry, just like their falling leader.

I swear, some of them feel just as vehement about Obama taking over as if Muhamar Qaddafi were the one taking the oath.

And Powell is the traitor making it happen.
