Britt Lomond (Monasterio in "Zorro") Has Died

    Britt Lomond, who played the villainous Capt. Monasterio in the first season of Disney's "Zorro" has died. He was 80. Lomond not only was a fine performer (he acted in "Death Valley Days" and "Rawhide," among others), he was also an expert at fencing. He taught Guy Williams and other stars how to look good enough to convincingly defeat him on film.

    Britt was also a generous person who shared his memories with many fans in the last ten years or so. He was a guest speaker for the NFFC, as well as local Chapters. He also made appearances at autograph shows.

    Our best wishes go to his wife, children and many friends.
