With the Cobb only as a two-person appetizer, and prices for all entrees in the $22+ range. Our waiter informed us that the Brown Derby is now a one-menu-all-day restaurant. That was a surprise, and not a welcome one. Thankfully, the Cobb was still there, although at a higher price than before.

I was wondering if this is another ploy by WDW management to make the Dining Plan appear to be a better deal. Since the Derby is a two credit restaurant (I believe), are they attempting to lure people in by saying that you're getting the full dinner menu for lunch? That may be an enticement for the DDP participants, but is really a rip-off for those paying with real money.

The following are the 2 most used testimonials about the DDP.

Isn't the DDP great! look how much money it saved us!

We would have never eaten here without the DDP!

Once upon a time the food at Disney was great and used to be one of the things I would look forward to when planning my vacation.

Now the food stinks in comparison to what it once was and is overpriced because of the DDP. I find myself eating more and more off property or at the resorts instead of in the parks.

That's how Disney makes up what they're losing with DDP - by charging more to us people who pay with real $$$.

That is what I would do. It is hard to know at present... Deb Will's site doesn't have a menu up reflecting the change.

THAT is why they would call it a two-person appetizer.

Oh, and there was Not an increase in menu items - it just appeared that they took the dinner menu and made it all day dining.
