Do you guys ever buy the brands of the companies that sponsor things at WDW or DL or any other Disney "place" ? I sure try to every chance I get.

Nestle makes a lot of different stuff. I buy it.
    I only buy HP printers.
    I buy Kodak products.
I used to use FedEx but since they dropped Space Mountain it's UPS next day for me.
Now, what does Semens make that I can buy? I may not be enamored with the new Spaceship Earth, but then again I may. I have not ridden it yet. But the point is, it has a sponsor that has dropped millions on it. I'll buy whatever it is they make...what DO they make?

Anyway, the list of sponsors is pretty long so I won't list them all here. But I do buy their stuff.

<<<...as part of the deal, Siemens will sponsor several rides and attractions at Walt Disney World Resort including the Epcot icon, "SpaceShip Earth," the nighttime Epcot fireworks show, "Illuminations: Reflections of Earth," as well as new attractions that will be incorporated into Innoventions both at Epcot and at Disneyland Resort. The Sylvania lighting division of Siemens will sponsor Disney-MGM Studio's holiday light show -- "Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights," as well as "Disney's Electrical Parade" and "Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams" at Disneyland Resort in California.

In addition, the companies will work together to develop and further apply new technologies across a range of platforms, as well as explore ways to integrate some of Siemens' technologies into Disney's current attractions and at its resorts. Siemens also will build on its existing relationship with Disney Media Network's and ESPN by sponsoring ABC's video board at Times Square in New York City.>>>

Now there is an interesting debate both sides, but as a result there has been a 10 year boycott on nestle products by British Universities.

I used to be loyal to Disney, but they are pumping out so much rubbish these days. And Sony used to be good, but I have made some poor sony purchases too.

As far as sponsorship - I don't even think about it. I would prefer to have good hot chocolate (like from Whittard) instead of Nestle. There is nothing Kodak sells that I want. If I find something I like at Disney - i.e., the Harneys Cinnamon Spice tea that used to be at the GF, I buy it online. I'll probably occasionally pick some H20 products as well. But I don't buy something just because of it being a sponsor.

I really like Kodak's stuff, so I try to go with them most of the time, but it really doesn't have anything to do with their sponsorships (at least that I know, it may be some subliminal thing since they've been there so long). I like Tollhouse cookies better than just about any other ones out there. I use Bank of America (I know, no longer a sponsor) because I used to live really close to one.

If there is ever something where I'm debating between two pretty much equal products (cookie dough is a great example), then I would definately go with the one that is a Disney sponsor, but for the most part the thought never conciously crosses my mind.

Who enforces the use of milk powder? What are you talking about??? My wife has nursed 6 babies, I've never heard of anything like this. You've lost me here, maybe elaborate on this a little? Boycott? For what?

It's not like they're forcing this on anybody, and like you said, it's probably fairly expensive (at least compared to the alternative), so not everybody will be doing it anyway. Sure, their products aren't natural, but whose are these days, other than super expensive organic producers? I just don't see what the big deal is about (but then again, I don't see a problem with a national ID card and that is apparently inappropriate and tells people what to do too, so I don't know).

I had thought the same thing, wondering if the moms were getting enough nourishment to pass along to the kids. Though the real answer to me would be to make sure the moms are well fed, and the kids can then get what they need from the mom (and not have to rely on powder). And after that, there is the issue of feeding them past infancy.

I am not much of a company boycotter, just very occasionally. I am more likely to reward a company that I think it doing the right thing (like Costco, which compensates it's employees well) than buy something because it's in the parks. I really don't even think about it when I'm shopping.

I can't be 100% sure, but I think it might have to do with the fact that I loved Disneyland's "Carousel of Progress" presented by GE way back when, and subconciously gravitated to their products later in life!

Last time I purchased tires, they were Goodyear -- former sponsor of Disneyland's Peoplemover.

One concious choice was Orville Reddenbacher's Gourmet Popping Corn once they became the "official popcorn of Disneyland". And Mission Tortillas, too.
